The Vidar of Båstad Motion Pro S2, weighing between 340-355g with a low balance, offers a highly maneuverable feel on court. Its round shape and soft Black EVA 13 core, paired with a medium-firm 3K carbon fiber surface, contribute to a forgiving sensation on contact. We found this racket particularly easy to swing, which aids consistency during longer rallies. In our testing, we observed its strengths lie in control and spin. We rate its control at 8.4/10 and spin at 7.4/10, making it a reliable option for precise shot placement and adding slice or topspin. The textured surface enhances ball grip, further supporting spin generation. While its power, at 5.3/10, is modest, this aligns with its defensive playstyle classification. We attributed it a difficulty score of 3.8/10, indicating it is very approachable for newer players. Its durability also rated well, coming in at 8.2/10. Overall, the Motion Pro S2 is a well-suited choice for beginner adult and junior players, especially those who prioritize defense and control in their game. Its user-friendly attributes make it an excellent tool for developing fundamental skills. If you've played with this racket, we'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Manufacturer's Description
Motion Pro S2 is one of the latest models from Vidar. It is an updated version of our popular padel racket Motion Pro S, now with a fresh new design completely in line with Vidar's sleek design language. The racket has received a new EVA13 core that provides a slightly softer ball hit. The difference is small, but noticeable especially when you reach for really difficult balls, as it provides a slightly more forgiving hit. A model that, just like its predecessor, makes it easy to hit difficult balls. At Vidar, we have chosen to focus on rackets with lower weight. With a weight around 350 grams and a balance point of about 250 millimeters, the racket feels easy to swing and smooth. This allows you to maintain the same level throughout the match without tiring your arm. Motion Pro S has extra holes compared to the standard, totaling 70 holes. The holes have also been evenly distributed over the surface to create as large a sweet spot as possible. The holes soften the surface, and leaving parts of the racket without holes will lead to a different feel depending on where the ball hits. Having many holes also has other advantages, as their sharp edges provide good support in spin. Many holes also mean a reduction in weight, enabling reinforcement with extra material in exposed areas. This paddle racket has a longer grip, which has been requested by many players today, partly for those who like a two-handed backhand and partly for those who simply like the feel of a longer handle. Now you can easily change the wristband without having to remove the cap. Here you can easily choose your own design or switch between Vidar's different bands. This way, you never have to play with a broken or worn-out band. Besides the extra spin you get via the hole formation, this paddle racket comes with a structured surface. The lines diagonally across the racket's surface, along with the holes, provide all the spin you could wish for. Motion Pro S2 comes with a 3K surface and a softer core with a certain trampoline effect.
