Bestpadel Review

The Vidar of Båstad Motion Pro Air, priced at $270, presents itself as a competition-level all-rounder. In our testing, we found its rounded shape and low balance, coupled with a weight range of 345-355g, offered a comfortable and maneuverable feel, particularly beneficial for sustained play without arm fatigue. The medium firmness of both its 3K carbon fiber surface and Black EVA 15 core aims for a balanced response across different shot types. When assessing performance, we observed that this racket excels in control, which we rate at 7.5/10. This makes it a reliable choice for players who prioritize precise shot placement. While its power score is 5.9/10, we found it sufficient for generating depth without overhitting, especially on defensive lobs and well-placed volleys. The textured 3K carbon fiber surface also contributes positively to spin, for which we attributed it a score of 7/10, aiding in adding curve and unpredictability to shots. Its difficulty is rated at 6.1/10, suggesting it’s accessible for most competition-level players. Overall, the Motion Pro Air is a well-balanced option for adult players looking for a racket that supports an all-court game with an emphasis on control and maneuverability. Its durability is rated at 7.8/10, indicating a robust construction. While not a powerhouse, its attributes make it a solid choice for strategic play. If you’ve had experience with the Motion Pro Air, we’d be interested to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Manufacturer's Description

The Motion series is developed for players who want to move across their half of the court and be secure in all positions. Motion Pro Air is a medium-hard racket, it falls somewhere in between Motion Pro and Motion Pro S. The racket is intended for players who prefer to place challenging shots and let the opponent make the mistakes. A padel racket that makes it easy to place difficult shots. One of the points that players demand today is a lightweight racket with a lower balance. Motion Pro Air therefore has precisely this configuration. With a weight around 350 grams and a balance around 250 mm, the racket feels easy to swing and smooth, allowing you to maintain the same level throughout the match without getting tired in your arm. Motion Pro Air has extra holes compared to the standard, a total of 70 holes. They have also chosen to distribute the holes evenly over the surface to achieve the largest possible sweet spot. The holes soften the surface, and leaving parts of the racket without holes leads to different feelings depending on where the ball strikes. Many holes also have other advantages; the holes with their sharp edges provide good spin assistance. Many holes also mean a weight reduction, enabling reinforcement with extra material at vulnerable spots. This padel racket has a longer handle, which has been shown to be in demand among many players today, partly for those who like a double-handed backhand, and partly for those who simply like the feel of a longer shaft. The length, including frame protection, is within the allowable limits for competition. Now you can easily change the wrist strap without having to remove the cap. Here, you can easily choose your own design or switch between Vidar's different straps. An extra strap is also included with the Motion Pro Air. This way, you never have to play with a broken or worn strap. Besides the extra spin you get from the hole formation, this padel racket comes with a textured surface. The lines that run diagonally over the racket's surface, along with the holes, provide all the spin you could wish for. Motion Pro comes with a 3K surface and a medium-hard core and can be placed between Motion Pro S and Motion Pro in terms of how hard the strike is.
