The Varlion LW One 2023 is a round-shaped racket designed with a low balance, promoting a comfortable and forgiving feel on court. Its construction features a fiberglass frame and surface with a soft EVA Hypersoft core, contributing to its soft touch. We found this setup offers a good response for players still developing their technique. In our testing, we observed that its control is a notable strength, which we rate at 6.7/10. Power, however, is more modest, receiving a 3.9/10 in our assessment, as is spin at 3.5/10. This racket is well-suited for beginner players, particularly those who prioritize defensive play and consistency over aggressive power shots. Its low difficulty rating of 3.9/10 means it is easy to handle and provides a generous sweet spot, which is beneficial for learning the basics of padel. Varlion initiation-level padel racket with round shape, which favors control over power. Ideal for players with very little experience and who are starting to play padel. It is made of a bidirectional tubular of fiberglass and carbon fiber, reinforced by plain carbon fiber fabric in the heart. Its core is made of 38mm Eva Hypersoft rubber of low hardness and is laminated with 3 layers of plain fiberglass fabric, impregnated in Varlion's exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin for maximum elasticity and resistance, and covered by a layer of titanium dioxide. This composition makes it a padel racket with a soft touch. Thanks to Aerodynamic Drilling, turbulence is reduced, offering greater resistance in the core and greater stability during hitting cause the centre of the racket flexes less. This generates an increase in the sweet spot of the racket. The most outstanding technology is the Hexagon frame, which makes it more rigid and resistant. And finally, it is worth highlighting the Handlesafety technology, a new safety system for the handle. Normally, in all rackets the rope comes out from a centered hole which is attached to the handle frame by means of a pin, rivets, nails, etc. However, with this system, the rope goes through the two walls of the handle and comes out on both sides of the tip, thus giving 100% safety and comfort to the grip.
