Bestpadel Review

The StarVie Kraken features a teardrop shape with a medium balance, crafted with a carbon fiber frame and a hard carbon fiber surface. We noted its 26mm slim frame profile, which contributes to its agile feel. The core is a Soft V30, designed to offer a softer touch, and the surface is textured to aid grip on the ball. This combination of materials aims for a balance between responsiveness and feel. In our hands-on testing, we found the Kraken to be a versatile all-rounder, though we rated its power at 5.4/10 and control at 5.3/10. Where it genuinely shines is spin, for which we attributed it a score of 7/10, thanks in part to that textured surface. The softer core does offer a comfortable feel, but it demands precise technique, leading us to rate its difficulty at 7.2/10. Its maneuverability is a strong point, allowing for quick reactions at the net and during defensive plays. Overall, the StarVie Kraken is a racket suited for competition players who appreciate a more responsive feel and are adept at generating spin. While it might require a higher skill level to fully unlock its potential, its agile nature and spin capabilities make it a worthy consideration for those looking for an all-court racket. If you have experience with the Kraken, we encourage you to share your thoughts in the comments below.

Manufacturer's Description

This model stands out with its 26mm slim frame, perfect for the reaction player seeking a quick racket to maneuver. It is equally effective in defense as in attack, and the drop shape is good for players who want to play a more aggressive game since the balance is high up in the racket. Extra Sweet Spot, a new technology applied to the racket's frame, generates a larger sweet spot. The core of the Kraken is the softer Soft V30, and the model has a sibling, Kraken Pro, with the harder V50 core. The handle is 0.5cm longer for a more comfortable two-handed grip.
