The Royal Padel R Control is a racket designed for competition players who favor an aggressive, attacking playstyle. Its oversized diamond shape and high balance, combined with a firm EVA Mid HARD core and 3K Carbon frame, mean it generates significant power on attacking shots. We attributed it a power rating of 8.4/10 in our tests, indicating its strength in this area. The rough 3K Carbon surface also assists with spin, for which we rated it 7.3/10. While the R Control offers substantial power, its control aspect is more moderate, scoring 5.6/10 in our assessment. This is typical for diamond-shaped rackets with a high balance, which tend to prioritize power over precision. The GlassComp Control fiberglass composite surface aims to balance this, providing a medium firmness that offers a decent feel for the ball without fully compromising the power potential. We found that players comfortable with a higher difficulty racket, rated at 8.6/10, will be able to manage its characteristics effectively. Given its specifications and our testing observations, this racket is best suited for experienced players who can consistently find the sweet spot and manage its higher difficulty. Its durability received a 7/10 from us, which is a solid mark for a competition-level racket.
