The Drop Shot X Drive 2.0 is a racket designed for the attacking player, particularly those who favor a strong smash and forceful volleys. In our testing, its high balance and diamond shape contributed significantly to power, which we rate at 8.4/10. We found that the hard 18K carbon fiber textreme surface and EVA Pro core provided a firm feel on impact, allowing for precise placement on fast shots, although we observed that this can come at the expense of touch for defensive play. Control, in our assessment, scores 5.3/10, making it more suited for players who already have a well-developed sense of ball placement. We noted that the racket’s 360-370g weight range, combined with its high balance, places it in a higher difficulty category, scoring 8.6/10 for difficulty. This suggests it is best suited for competition-level adults who can manage its demands. While spin received a rating of 6.9/10, we found it required good technique to maximize, benefiting from the texture of the 18K carbon. Its carbon fiber frame and hard core contribute to what we rate as strong durability, at 8.1/10.
