Bestpadel Review
The LW Carbon 9 is a round-shaped racket designed for control, making it a solid choice for players who prioritize precision in their game. We found it performs very well from the baseline, offering consistent ball placement and a comfortable feel on defensive shots. At the net, its low balance and round shape allow for quick reactions and accurate volleys, though it requires a bit more effort to generate aggressive power. Weighing between 350-375g with a low balance, this racket offers a medium feel thanks to its carbon fiber and fiberglass surface, and an EVA Hypersoft core. In our testing, we attributed it 8/10 for control and 7.4/10 for spin, which aligns with its textured surface designed to grip the ball. Its power, however, we rated at 5.6/10, suggesting players focused on aggressive smashes might look for options with a higher power rating. The durability we rated at 7.4/10, reflecting its sturdy carbon frame. Overall, the LW Carbon 9 is a reliable option for competitive players who value control and defensive play. Its consistent performance and user-friendly characteristics, despite a medium difficulty rating of 6.6/10, make it a strong contender for those looking to place the ball accurately. Manufacturer's Description
Varlion padel racket of professional level with a round shape that privileges control over power. It’s made of a bidirectional carbon tube. Its core is made of 38mm Eva Hypersoft rubber of medium hardness, and it is laminated by layers of carbon and fiberglass fabric. The heart area is also reinforced with carbon fiber fabrics impregnated with Varlion's exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin to obtain maximum elasticity and resistance and covered by a layer of titanium dioxide. It’s the successor to the legendary LW Carbon 3, LW Carbon 5 and LW Carbon 8 but with technological improvements in its materials, design and performance. One of the most important is the incorporation of Prisma frame,, which provides greater acceleration and speed of movements thanks to its aerodynamic design. Thanks to Aerodynamic Drilling, turbulence is reduced, offering greater resistance in the core and greater stability during hitting cause the centre of the racket flexes less. This generates an increase in the sweet spot of the racket. It includes as standard the adhesive Prisma bumper, which is designed and produced through an injection mold in low-hardness PTU to absorb shocks and scratches. This bumper is fixed on the frame of the racket through an adhesive, which also helps to avoid vibrations. We have also applied the Slice technology (rough texture) to the hitting surface through a direct 3D screen printing system, to help the player apply effects on the ball more effectively. And finally, it is worth highlighting the Handlesafety technology, a new safety system for the handle. Normally, in all rackets the rope comes out from a centered hole which is attached to the handle frame by means of a pin, rivets, nails, etc. However, with this system, the rope goes through the two walls of the handle and comes out on both sides of the tip, thus giving 100% safety and comfort to the grip.
