Bestpadel Review
The Ionic Light presents a balanced approach for players seeking a racket that offers both manageability and a responsive feel. Its teardrop shape and medium balance work together to provide an all-rounder playstyle. We found its 350-360g weight to contribute to good maneuverability, which is often appreciated in faster exchanges. The Glaphite surface, combined with a MultiEVA core, provides a medium firmness that we observed offers a comfortable touch without sacrificing too much reactivity. In our testing, we attributed it a power score of 6/10 and control at 5.5/10, indicating a balanced performance profile, and we rate its spin potential at 5.8/10, aided by its rough surface. This racket, with its competition player type classification, is designed for adult players aiming for a versatile game. We rate its difficulty at 7.1/10, suggesting it suits players with an established technique who can effectively leverage its characteristics. Its 38mm carbon fiber frame contributes to a durability rating of 6.3/10 according to our assessments. Considering its $180 price point, we attributed it a value for money score of 6.4/10. It’s a solid option for those looking for a lightweight, adaptable racket to support an all-court game. If you’ve had the chance to play with the Ionic Light, we'd be keen to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Manufacturer's Description
This racket stands out for its manageability and effectiveness. It has a teardrop form with medium balance and features the new XForce system. It is designed for advanced players who are looking for a lightweight, manageable racket. Its external core is finished with Glaphite, a braid specially developed by Bullpadel that mixes elastic fibreglass with other carbon fibres to produce a comfortable feel whilst also remaining sufficiently reactive for those that seek a high-speed game. The internal core is made from MultiEva, and its frame from 100% carbon fibre CarbonTube. It incorporates a rough 3D Grain surface with a polygonal form which offers high grip when the ball comes into contact with the racket, creating greater impact on the ball.
